Never need a reason, never need a rhyme, step in time, step in time.

Snow was dashed inconvenient. Four, maybe five, inches. Had to go to church early to shovel, somebody else manned the snowblower while I got the stairs and then salted the walks.

I was going to have a Julie Andrews movie night, watching Mary Poppins and then Sound of Music in one evening, but that would be five hours of movie, so I deferred to another time. Instead only watched Mary Poppins.  May watch Sound of Music tomorrow. I have confidence in me!

Noticed, via aldaily.com, that a new collection of Daniil Kharms came out last month to, of course, rave reviews in the NY Times at least. Looking forward to it. I first encountered him approx 6 years ago. What I'm not clear on is how much of this material is available elsewhere and in other existing collections. Regardless, it will be worth it for my "pretentious obscure modern Russian lit" cred.
